In this article, we'll discuss small steps you can take to live sustainably. But before that, let's talk about what sustainable living is.

What is sustainable living?

Sustainable living is used to describe a lifestyle centered on green practices. People who live sustainably are often very concerned about the environment and therefore strive to minimize the damage they do to the environment by reducing their carbon footprint.

In our modern society, the concept of sustainable living is slowly gaining popularity as it has become what I call the necessity of the times.

I mean just look around and you'll see that our planet is suffering from severe environmental degradation. Every day there is news about floods, increasing climate change and how global warming is causing irreversible damage to our planet. So with all this, it is now more important than ever to act responsibly and stop this environmental decoration as it is progressing and becoming too big to control. Sustainable living is just one example of responsible action that can be very effective if implemented globally.

You can adopt green practices to live sustainably

1) Stop using plastic

Plastic, especially single-use plastic, is an insane polluter that is wreaking havoc on our environment. So, sustainable living starts with limiting the use of plastic. So try to find sustainable alternatives for all the plastic products you use. Instead of carrying a plastic water bottle with you, use a bamboo water bottle or use a water filter. Also, bring your cloth bag when shopping and stop eating in places like food on plastic plates.

2) Sustainable Commuting

Fuel-based emissions cause many problems, such as polluting the air, because emissions are mostly carbon-based. Therefore, adopt a more environmentally friendly way of commuting, such as B. carpooling, public and private cars, investment in environmentally friendly cars, etc.

3) Use resources sparingly

Conserve water when showing or cleaning your home. Turn off bulbs when not in use and try economy bulbs.

4) No longer fast fashion

The fast fashion industry contributes significantly to your carbon footprint because it involves a number of environmentally damaging carbon dioxide emitting processes. Don't fall into the trap of consumerist ideology and go beyond trends.

5) Buy from sustainable brands

Support sustainable brands and only buy products from them. When you ditch fast fashion, you know there are so many incredible sustainable fashion brands you can still buy clothes from. When it comes to other products, such as cleaning supplies, cosmetics, etc., also choose sustainable brands to buy. However, always make sure that the company you are buying from is sustainable and not just using sustainability as a marketing tool for sales!

In conclusion
